Nepean Aquatic Centre, Penrith, and Eva Bory’s Swim School, Emu Plains are both great venues for hydrotherapy patients. The water temperature in our Learn To Swim pools is a constant 31 degrees, and we offer times for public swimming and hydrotherapy 7 days a week, please see timetables for details. We also have a 6 lane lap pool at NAC, which is slightly cooler (28°C), but provides customers with access to varying depths from 1.1m to 1.7m.
Various local physiotherapists have been running group Hydrotherapy at our facilities for over 20 years, and at NAC specifically for the past 7 years. There is an exercise rail installed along one side of the pool, and we also have stairs & ledges at varying heights to assist clients with their exercises. We offer clients free access to our exercise equipment (noodles, dumbbells, kickboards etc), and run a very popular Aqua Gentle program to transition people with injuries from rehab back into mainstream group exercise.
In terms of air and water quality, we have Neptune Benson Ultra Fine Filters installed which allows us to filter down to 1 micron, and our water is sanitised using a combination of chlorine and UV disinfection. For further customer comfort, our pool halls are air conditioned. We have large modern bathrooms with hot showers, separate private or family bathroom, and lots of parking (including undercover parking) available.
So come on down and do your exercises in comfort!
