Eva Bory's Swim School

Eva Bory’s Swim School in Emu Plains is an iconic name in swimming, with a long and rich local history.
Eva Bory was a Hungarian Olympian who went on to live in Australia and hugely influence Australian Learn to Swim teaching practices. Eva was inducted into the Australian Swimming Hall of Fame before passing away in 2014.

The local tradition of learning to swim at Eva Bory’s Swim School continues into the next generation, with past swimming students now bringing their children to the Emu Plains venue to learn aquatic skills and safety. The pool is 17.5 metres long, 5 lanes wide and 1m deep.
Eva Borys Swim School uses only the best possible filtration and UV disinfection systems and boasts excellent air and water quality at all times.

Eva Borys Swim School offers Learn to Swim lessons 7 days a week and Birthdays Parties on weekends.

Our Learn to Swim program

Paddles the Platypus

Super Paddles the Platypus is our friendly Learn To Swim mascot. Native to Australia, Platypus are semi-aquatic mammals and excellent swimmers – just like us! Paddles loves to come out and meet our swimmers at special events at both Nepean Aquatic Centre and Eva Borys Swim School.

Every time your child achieves a swim skill and earns a sticker for their Learn To Swim certificate, the sticker features various pictures of Paddles the Platypus with words of praise and encouragement to inspire your child to be the best they can be!
