Great results from our Learn To Swim students, Charlotte Moss and Robert Schroeder!
It makes us so happy and proud to see our Learn To Swim students achieve great things in the pool, and we would like to congratulate 2 very special young people for their recent swimming achievements.
Robert Schroeder started swimming at Nepean Aquatic Centre as a water baby at 9 months old. Robert was born with a severe speech delay (verbal dyspraxia) and didn’t speak till he was 5, but his achievements in the pool have also helped his confidence. Being able to swim saved his life when he was 5, when his hand slipped out of his auntie’s hand in the surf, he swam under the wave and popped up after the wave had passed.
Charlotte Moss started swimming with us at 3 years old in Squids and is now a Shark. Charlotte is an all rounder, strong in all swimming strokes.
Charlotte and Robert, both now 9 years old, recently swam in the 9 year olds at the Bennett Road Primary School Swimming carnival and achieved the following results….
Robert became the Junior Boys Age Champion, 1st place Junior Backstroke 50m, 2nd place Junior Breaststroke 50m, 1st place 9 years Freestyle 50m, and 3rd place Open 100m Freestyle.
Charlotte became the Junior Girls Age Champion, was 1st in 100m Junior Freestyle, 1st in 50m Junior Freestyle, 1st in 50m Junior Butterfly, 1st in 50m Junior Breaststroke & 3rd in 50m Junior Backstroke.
Congratulations to both of you on your achievements in the pool, and keep on swimming!
