Monday 20th April – Fri 24th April 2020 at NAC.
Want something fun and healthy for the kids to do in the school holidays? Accelerate your child’s learning with a 5 day intensive swimming program at NAC in the next school holidays!
Classes are available for our Squids, Platypus, Stingrays and Dolphins classes. Sharks may attend the Dolphins class. Give your child’s swimming skills a boost through intensive training. We have small class sizes, and our classes are held in our indoor heated pools, so you don’t need to worry about the weather! Intensive Lesson weeks are a great way to accelerate the swimming skills of children already in lessons, fast track children into lessons after a break from swimming, hone swimming skills for school swimming carnivals, or start a child’s swimming journey. PLUS any customer who enrols for weekly lessons following their attendance of our School Holiday Program will have their enrolment fee waived.
STILL HAVE A 2020 ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHER TO USE? Book into our School Holiday Special Intensive Program using your Active Kids voucher! Any remaining balance will be kept on your account for future use towards swimming lessons – redeem towards lessons in our regular program or more intensive lessons next school holidays.
Legendary Aussie Swim Coach Laurie Lawrence on why children should be doing more swimming lessons: “The reality with swimming lessons is that most children will only attend one or two 30 minute lessons per week when they are learning to swim and parents wonder why it can sometimes be a slow process. If you miss 4 weeks out of 52 in the year, and your swimmers attend EVERY lesson without missing any others that is just 24 hours of swimming instruction per year. That’s one day out of 365 each year. That’s nothing! Boost your child’s swimming skills whenever possible!”
PLUS Did you know that swimming lessons improve leaning outcomes at school? Research conducted by Griffith University over four years has concluded that children who swim demonstrate more advanced cognitive and physical abilities than other children. The children tested were anywhere from six to 15 months ahead of the normal population when it came to cognitive skills, problem solving in mathematics, counting, language and following instructions. Not bad from an activity that could also save your child’s life!
